What is the difference between member number and account number?
Member # and Account # are the same thing.

Account Type refers to the suffix attached to that Member # or Account #.

For example, let’s say your Linn Area member # is 55555. With this Member # are several account types (a checking account has a suffix of 10 or 11, a regular savings account has a suffix of 00, etc.). So your checking account would be referred to as #55555-10.

See your monthly statement to determine your account types and related suffixes.
